Am I a narcissist?

Just give me some for sure signs of a narcissist so I can figure this out. I feel like one and I really don't want any help but at the same time people are telling me I'm not.

I'm no expert on the signs but I'm close with someone who I'm pretty sure is a narcissist and one reason I'm not sure is because they won't admit anything is wrong with them. Because of this she won't see a therapist or doctor. From what I've seen, this person blames everyone else for most of her problems. If someone doesn't like her, she blames it on other people being jealous instead of thinking maybe there is a legitimate reason.

This person also takes everything very personally and thinks she is above other people. Not in a way that's harmful to anyone, but she is extremely critical of everyone's flaws while denying her own. She can never accept that she is wrong even when it seems like common sense and it seems like she live in her own world where she expect everyone's needs to revolve around her own.

This doesn't mean she is necessarily a horrible person like I'm making it seem. While she can be very rude or mean at times, she can also be very kind, considerate, selfless, etc. but she doesn't seem to regard others feelings much. Sometimes it feels like she knows shes hurting people with what she says but doesn't care. Even with this she says its good to be "brutally honest" but that's not true for many situations.

I hope this helps, and if you do think you're a narcissist try gaining perspective by talking to people who you think you may have hurt (emotionally or with an insult maybe). Put yourself in their shoes as to not be as self centered (if that's the problem).
