You don't need to apologize for being angry when someone tries to hurt you. It's as natural as breathing to be upset when someone insults you. I just wanted to say this becuase I was shamed for getting angry at very normal things growing up. Wish you the best!

Thank you for this reminder Hiba! A couple of members have reached out to me because they want to report misconduct, but it is not clear how to report issues on the HU App, so here are some tips:

For anyone using the HU app on their phones:

- You can report inappropriate Private Messages by holding your finger down on the message in question. After a couple of seconds, a box will pop up that says "Report Message," click on that and the message will be reported

- To report a Post, click on the 3 dots at the bottom right hand corner, underneath the post (to the right of the "Follow" button)

- To report an inappropriate Reply to a Post, click on the 3 dots at the bottom of the reply on the right hand side (to the right of the "Reply" button)

- If you need to report a Member, it is best to do so on a laptop or computer. Go to their profile and click on the "Report" button on the top right side of their page

And as always, Community Admins and HU Support are great resources! Take care and be kind 💖

Hi Hiba I didn't see the comments from the troll but I saw some of the replies so have some idea what they were saying. This is disgraceful and I do hope you and the other lady are ok. the internet is a breeding ground for trolls some of whom scroll it (and join sites like mental health ones) specifically for this purpose. You can help avoid it by locking your posts to this community only otherwise your posts and all the replies can be read in full by anyone not a member of the site. To do this click on the option just before you post.

I have been on HU for years and have seen this type of behaviour before. Trolls do it for the attention as they are sick individuals so the best way is to ignore them and report. I know that's not easy when they are attacking others but it only adds fuel to the fire and makes them feel important.

Hi Hiba,I'm supposedly not on here until the new year, but have been in the background anyway. Me and several others have been targeted by trolls before. These people love to do this. Why? No idea. Just very sick individuals, I guess. It is beyond me how people can do this and, to use hypercat's word, it is disgraceful. Please report. I know it hurts (God, how I know...) and I'm very, very sorry.

I've sent you a pm to ask if you're okay. Please heed my other pm as well. A couple others know what I've sent to you since I told them after I sent it. You might be in shock and not want to believe me (frankly, it is hard to believe because some people can appear so nice), but it is unfortunately all true. I just don't want you hurt.

You're welcome, hon. Those of us who are vulnerable (not a criticism) can be very hurt. Coupled with this person's actions towards you (isolating you in a way, telling you to come to them for help and saying they will always be there for you) and the amount of months it's been were my red signs to warn you. It is all true. Ask any of the more long-term members
