Hi all. I’m not referring to anything having to do with money. It is my own emotional stock market that bottomed out today. Major anxiety. Could it be because I’m getting off trazadone and getting on Gabapentin at the same time? Or that my chronic insomnia continues and I don’t see an end to it? Or that isolation hit me especially hard today? All of the above? There’s a song lyric that describes how I’m feeling:
“I am barely breathing
And I can’t find the air”
All I can do is hope for a rebound in the stock market tomorrow because I feel awful right now. This community knows what I’m talking about whereas nobody else in my life really does. Thanks for being there.

Thank you, Phil! You are absolutely right. When things go South there is always an opportunity that might not exist otherwise. You can seize it or not (that's called an emotional stock option 🤗).
Hang in there, Catsamaze. I bet your mood does have something to do with your med changes. Given that strong possibility, allow yourself to feel how you feel without judgment. Give yourself a chance to rest or to go outside and breathe in fresh air. When I feel a low way, I often watch something on TV such as old comedy show reruns or a Western movie. Something familiar that lulls me to a simpler world. Please believe that it will pass. The market will go back up! And you'll be rich!
Thank you, Pagesofwords! That's exactly what I needed to hear. I did watch an episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show and your advice about watching an old TV show was spot on. And I will be getting outside for some air later. Thinking about what the Stock Market represents, if everyone in this Forum community had enough funds to pay for food, rent, and medical bills, money beyond that would not hold much allure. What most of us are after is peace of mind and you cannot buy that.
