Put all those symptoms into one basket, label that basket “Anxiety” and accept the lot. It is your fear ( e.g. constant checking, self analysing, questioning) of the symptoms that will keep you trapped in the cycle.
Thank you. I know I need to be doing that. I just feel like I’m new to this anxiety game lol
Accept that too. It takes time to develop a “So what?!” attitude and to stop caring so much about those scary thoughts and feelings but with practice, you WILL get there.
The worst thing any chronic anxiety sufferer can do is to fight, battle or do anything to try and change the way they think and feel. This has the same effect as pouring fuel on a fire. To recover from anxiety, give up that battle, let the thoughts and feelings scare you and do absolutely nothing to stop it.
It definitely does take time. It’s like when I get used to one and can spot that as anxiety another one comes. Like just to play trick on me. It will get better in time that I know
While you are in a sensitive state, any thing and everything will frighten the living daylights out of you. As you recover, your nerves de-sensitise, your resilience builds (you are able to cope more and more) and those pesky symptoms will fade away, probably without you even noticing.
