I am struggling here in the Pacific Northwest. My grown sons are in danger from Covid, 3000 miles away. And I am utterly helpless. Never have I felt more like my life insurance is worth more than I am.

Hi Galen. The pandemic is terrifying and if you didn’t have concerns about your sons that would be troubling. But we are not helpless against the tide of COVID. If your sons are careful and conscientious they will be fine. And remember, they are losing sleep worrying about YOU and this virus. It goes both ways. As for life insurance, you pay premiums on that, don’t you? But you, yourself, are priceless. So tell me again which is worth more?
Galen, this is a case of your anxiety disorder exaggerating ten fold the natural concern of a mother for her sons.
The chances of anybody without an underlying illness under the age of 50 from catching Covid is very very low and their chances of dying from it are statistically negligible. It's only people over the age of 60 who are highly vulnerable.
So I would suggest that your sons are in no danger and your worry is caused by anxiety disorder magnifying normal concerns out of all proportion. I suggest you have nothing to worry about whatsoever.
Stay calm and relaxed and talk to them regularly for your own reassurance.
Hi Galen- I understand how you feel because this coming January my son will be staying in his apartment and I am also concerned about the virus. I pray for God’s peace to surround me and safety for my son.
I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling. It’s good that you reached out, we are here for you. Take care. God bless you with His peace and protection for your son.
