I know we’ve spoken about this before but need some advice. I’ve been on it now for about 2 months and on the highest dose for 3 weeks now starting to get more side effects such as extreme sweating and dizziness but no improvement with the anxiety.
I have read some horrific stories about coming off this drug.. can anyone tell me their experiences as really not sure this is doing me any good in fact feel worse

Hey hunny sending u some hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I have no experience with this medication but hopefully other people have and they may be able to help u xxx
Was on it last year but came off it cold turkey, doc said this would be fine as was only on it a few months, I also came off omeprazole, and propranalol, same time also on the say so off the doctor.Ispent 8 months in sheer hell.pains all over my legs arms had migraines constantly ,brain zaps, dizzy, eyesight was a mess I eventually had to go back on propranalol for migraine and now on mitarzapine which I find ok at the moment I have only been on it for 2 months so early days. If you ever come off it wean yourself off
around 3 months but felt rotten on it I have read some bad results about mirtazapine the one I am on now but I have found them ok so far.The first month was great they put me to sleep for the first month which was great as I haven't been sleeping too well, but now the second month on them finding it hard again getting to sleep again but do eventually drift off,you have some weird dreams but I love my dreams so thats ok with me.Lets hope I keep feeling ok on them.
both. After I came off those 3 pills and all the cr-- I felt I then landed this year with the virus and has made me so depressed and anxious I then ended up on this other pill I still feel anxious but managing much better
Yes just the way he said it too, yes it will be fine , i haven't been to see him again just keep giving me other doctors, but i will some day and let him know what hapenedto my body
If you're in the UK, and it's within a year since you discovered you were given false and dangerous advice, you could put in a complaint against them.
However, it's not impossible the doctor would simply say, "I don't remember the conversation", or, "I would never have said such a thing". So they will not necessarily accept responsibility for what they did.
If you just want to speak to them personally that's also fine of course.
Personally if I'm ever raising a complaint with a doctor, then I will be audio recording it, because I have found out that they can indulge in quite the fantasy when they give a written description of an appointment!
He wasn't the first doctor to have told me that although it might have been ok to come off one of the pills I think it was the propranalol that caused the problem I had been on it a long time .
I’ve been on duloxetine for 16months now but only on 20 my and it’s been a life changer for me. I’ve tried 30 mg for a month but my anxiety was out of control with that dose so went back to 20mg. I also complement it with amitriptyline 10mg when needed (only during flare ups) and it’s a great combination for me. As anything out there... some will find it helpful, others won’t. Hope you’ll find something that helps xxx
They say it’s proven that more than 60mg per day won’t give you better results rather it increases the side effects. There is lots of research online about it. All the best to you.
For me personally I hated being on Duloxitine. It made me a completely different person and I had so many side effects. Doctors kept telling me to take it because they said the effects were just part of my depression. Funnily enough as soon as I decided to come off them, I got better. I’m on a different medication now and it’s better. I felt for me that Duloxitine took away a few years of my life and made me more miserable. I’ve heard it has done similar with others too.
I have a few personal problems going on in my life which is affecting my anxiety which the doctor said no tablet will solve but keep taking it anyway!!!
Hiya 👋 duloxetine was my first long term prescription med for depression. For the first 10 months or so I felt great and focused. Then started the irritability. I started using marijuana daily on top of it. I felt much better so months later I quit duloxetine cold turkey. Bad mistake. Brain zaps are real....focus gone....got back on the duloxetine and increased the dose and actually feel good now but it took me months to get back on track and feel Like I was driving myself. Honestly wish I had the courage and knowledge to simply stay on weed and never get started on prescription meds. We can hold depression off with a good game plan d mindset

I stay on the duloxetine for now because I feel better on it then the side effects from removing it. Maybe try to get down to lower dose perhaps the sleeping and sweating will get better. I barely slept for the first 6 months of taking duloxetine
Today I reduced it by 1 dose and will speak to the doctor tomorrow if I can.I sleep ok at the moment as the doctor gave me 2.5mg diazepam which I take with magnesium supplement but not sure how long she will continue to let me have the diazepam
