I get sooo frustrated if I have to take minutes of a meeting and they speak over my head, or in keywords. Everything frustrates me so far today. Even my phone rang 3 times in the meeting. Got 3 sms'. Then afterwards I have to wait and run around for information or clarity.. Which is a bit embarrassing. Then I google wrong stuff which frustrated me, I am not thinking clearly today, brainfog. When I am frustrated I hit things, luckily I broke nothing, nor injured myself. This work, argh....

ya work sucks thats why we call it work. EVERYONE with an office job has all the same frustrations you describe, to some degree.

i know these things are easier said than done, but: just try to slow down, and prioritize. better to do one thing well than do 3 things poorly. and dont beat yourself up about trivial errors like typing the wrong word into a search engine. everyone does that stuff to, most of us just laugh at ourselves. you are still smarter than the computers!

dont worry about the things people say in meetings that you dont understand yet (i gather you’ve recently joined an established team?) write things down and ask someone after the meeting, most peopleare happyto help the new guy, often even flattered to be the one who is asked. you’ll be speaking the new lingo soon enough. keep a list of new acronyms and special words that are unique to your project.

and stop hitting things. that can only make matters worse.
