My cat was put down yesterday

My cat was put down yesterday. They think he had a brain tumour 😔 he was 14 and always knew when a any of us were unwell or depressed. He would sit with you and purr and just be there. I’m still in shock, it doesn’t feel real! The house feels empty and cold without him here. I know to some people it sounds silly he was ‘just a cat’ but to us he was a family member! He was our fur baby 😔

My Stinky Inky would luck I mean lick furiously on my head, whenever I would lie on my stomach to rest or sleep, because he thought I was very sick or dying...

He's not "just a cat" - I totally understand how you feel. I've felt so much pain when I've had my cats put to sleep. It does ease with time though. You will one day be able to enjoy his memory.

I am sorry for the lost of your fur baby. We had to put our little girl to sleep this April, she would've been 12 this year. So, I understand how you must feel... it's okay to mourn & feel sad.💛

We lost Asheara about a month ago. She was 13. Her sister is curled up in the back of my legs right now. Olivia's 14. They're not just cats. They are our hearts. And right now yours is broken. What was his name?

I think non animal people think of them as nothing more than animals. But they are everything to us! He was called Harvey and he was 14 xx

They never really leave us ... the tears do get fewer and fewer eventually. But their paw prints and fur are forever in our heart.

Can I tell you one small but true cat story ??

My little beauty in my Pro every day every time I would eat anything at all no matter what it was or how long I ate -

Would sit right next to me and literally Stare Right at my eyes the entire time never moving at all until I was finished.

I would always give him a teeny tiny bit of it when I was completely done, and he would jump up and eat it like it was the most important thing in the world, even when it isn't even the kind of food cats Eat !!

He did this so many times I would get sick of it and get mad and put a big pillow between us so he would stop starting at me!! But he still wouldn't move at all ever!!

He's gone now

Catman missed my little boy so Much !!!

It is not silly. Cats or any pet have a way to love us. They know when you need them. They have their personality. You were your pets angel. This is a special bond. Sorry for you loss. Glad your shared you precious memory. ❤ 🐈
