So here's the story. I was in a treatment facility, IOP, every day for the last 3 weeks when my dad got covid. Thank g-d he is fine however, that ment I had to quarantine and I am not allowed to go to treatment. I have deteriorated as I had to leave when I wasn't ready to and when things get bad the pain and sadness transfers into my body. This is super hard to deal with and the only thing that helps is a acupuncture because it forces my body to calm down. But my insurance doesn't cover accupuncute! I don't work, I'm in school trying to get a degree to support myself but my father won't pay for acupuncture because he says it's not necessary. I can't even begin to tell you how much it helps. What can I do? Its 100$a session and I would just go for 2-3x to stabalize and calm my body. Are there any organizations that fund treatment for mental health?

I don’t know if any. Maybe try calling the United Way? But if you are on your Dad’s insurance and it might be based on his income. If he makes too much money that might not help either.
Have you heard of tapping? It’s based on acupressure. Maybe that would help in place of acupuncture for the time being. Google it
I forgot about tapping, thanks for the reminder. I'll do some soon. I'll look into United Way also, never heard of it and it doesn't hurt to try. Yup, it's us middle classers that struggle so much my dad just makes a bit more than the threshold and we never end up qualifying for anything.
I feel similar to you. Acupuncture is one of the only things that hekps me as well but now I can't get it because of the covid. I'm in school and not working either. I have found some breathing techniques on YouTube that help though. Check out wim hof's breathing techniques. I had a somatic therapist that said breath Work everyday clear out all trauma. There is also effiji breath, this is $35 dollars a session though online.but you can try your first time free. There are also YouTube for EFT tapping and anxiety. That helps too. There are a ton of meditations on youtube that help. There are also shamanic meditations that include Breath work.. Those i think are amazing. You can also gind YouTube's with reiki.
