I just had the biggest shocking pain come in the back of my throat out of nowhere i looked up on google and it says it could be my glossopharyngeal nerve , should i be worried ?????I'm in full blown panic right now...

Hi Loners,

I too am a victim of consulting Dr. Google. And I can tell you from experience, it's never a good diagnosis. I've been struggling with a tough bout of health anxiety myself. Some of the biggest things I've learned:

--Googling symptoms never helps. It just allows your mind to spiral.

--Anxiety can cause physical symptoms, and the worse the anxiety, the worse the symptom. That's where I've been

--Meditation and grounding techniques when you feel it coming on.

--Practicing good sleep hygiene (No screens before bed, a good sleep meditation) is key. A good nights rest can stop the anxiety in its tracks, and if it needs to be rationalized, how your body repairs itself if you were actually sick. Thus always the "drink lots of fluids and get lots or rest"!

Most importantly, if you feel there is a true emergency, or an issue that persists, go to a professional doctor and get looked at. A lot of conditions take shape of a lot of other conditions, so worrying about the worst doesn't help at all.

Meadows. I woul also suggest propping some pillows up get on your bed or a couch. Anxiety can screw up your body.

my throat feelings the kind U feel when U start crying. I was on my way to work. I played it cool, hyper focused and fortunately arrived at my client’ s house.

things to yourself and try to relax your
