Should I continue taking Phenobarbital?

I was prescribed Phenobarbital for seizures, a few months ago. The Script was for 300 mg/night. I take 50 mg/day. This helps a lot, anxiety, maybe preventing future seizures? I dunno. There is an issue with liver function, so im wondering if anyone has come up against these kind of issues? Its become a real catch, choosing between killing my liver....And having debilitating anxiety, the treatment is the killer, the killer is the cure.
