Your depression, it’s often an invisible struggle and as such people tend to be skeptical about it or just ignore it. Try not to let their apparent indifference get you down. It’s tempting to want to show your struggles somehow exteriorly, like by hurting yourself, to make others take you seriously. Don’t fall for it. It’s a trap that would make you dependent on others for sympathy and leave you stranded in a pit of self pity. Be strong. Self harm is not the solution.
Instead, have you looked into therapy? Made an appointment with a psychiatrist to get diagnosed? Sometimes an official diagnosis will be more convincing to others even if it doesn’t tell you anything you didn’t already know.

I'm sorry to hear that people don't believe you when you say you're struggling. It's not really for anyone else to say what you're dealing with inside; they can't read your mind. I believe you, though, and I hope you can get better soon. Have you considered maybe talking to a therapist? Are there any friends you can talk to who will believe you? Finally, please don't hurt yourself. We care about you and want you to have a future. If your feeling of wanting to hurt yourself gets stronger, please call 911 or the Suicide Hotline. I understand. I am kinda in the same position. your feelings are always valid, and it seems like you need someone to simply talk to. I messaged you so we can talk.
I'm sorry you are suffering but don't hurt yourself. Try to find someone else you can confide in. We are here for you.
Remember that these feelings can be incredibly intense, but change is always possible, healing is always possible. You are fighting the good fight, even if it doesn't seem that way at this time.

If you are having thoughts of hurting yourself, especially if you find yourself formulating plans to carry it out, that is a time to call a mental health hotline, find a school counsellor, talk to someone you trust, if possible. If you Google suicide hotline, you will immediately have numbers to call in your area, and nationally in the US. There are also text lines if you feel more comfortable doing that.
