So 5 days ago now I was in contact with a confirmed covid person in my work place. Now 3 have tested positive for the virus. My anxiety was bad over this virus from the start but started to ease off. Now to be in isolation awaiting test results. Wondering when or weather I am going to get symptoms. How can I calm my nerves down. Can anyone help. I am scared to death and all I hear is negatives about this virus. Isolating on my own. Not able to see my daughter as I don't want her getting this virus or it spreading tk anyone else if I do have it. 😬😭

Hi, I feel this way too, always a tangle of nerves that won’t settle down. Anxiety from covid is real for me (asthma/copd). I try to distract myself doing crafts, TV, read etc. sometimes it works. While awaiting your results you could try to eat as healthfully as you can and get alot of rest. Hopefully you test negative, but if you’re positive your body has a healthy head start. Fingers crossed for a good outcome!

I have recieved my test results back as negative. Thank god. Atleast I know now that I will have no contacts that I have been near to spread the virus to as I am in isolation on my own. But I could test positive apparently any time within the 14 days of isolation. I am hoping that because my test was done like 4 days after being in contact with this person that most likely it would have shown up on the test. That's what happened with one of my colleagues that had been in contact with this person. He had contact on the same day in work and had a test on same day as me and his shown positive for the virus.

That’s great news!

Don't think there is much to do. Bringing your attention back to your breath. Nerves will die down on their own. It's the kind of situation that is out of your hands. Hope things turn out all right 🤞

I know it's the uncertainty of it all. Thank you. I do mindfulness meditation and that helps alot. I tested negative for the virus but now it's just the initial wait on things during the isolation
