I'm going to focus on how good it will feel when I get through this

I have a lot to be grateful for. I am going to focus and get through this winter. Maybe I can enjoy it somehow? I wonder how? Any ideas?

Do you live in a cold weather place?

I do. It is fall now and the leaves are bright colors. Very pretty.

I would say embrace winter! Do fun winter activities....food and cocktails (if that’s your thing), ice skating, Christmas tree cutting, etc etc. Find the aspects of the season that make you happy and do them.

Ok. I could try that. Interesting idea. lol. honestly wasn't thinking of that kind of stuff.

Hi Andrea! I have a therapy lamp that I use during these darker months. I also take vitamin d every day starting soon (my husband actually suggests I start tomorrow since today was hard).

That's a great idea also. I know for a fact I am deficient in vitamin D! Thank you!

You're welcome.😊 (I'm online, hence quick response). I just picked up sone vitamin d. I'll take 40ųi every morning starting tomorrow. I spent the majority of the past 2 days in bed, which is a sign for me that I'm getting depressed again.

Would you like to know about my therapy lamp?

Hi Andrea. My anxiety has been bad recently, I too am looking forward to the future, having made the decision to leave my job. I have started scrapbooking to help me on my journey. I have a journal and every time I have a good/positive thing happen I write about it or sketch a drawing or add a photo ( I bought one of the little portable photo printers). On those rough days when I am struggling I can pull out my journal and it reminds me I can do this. I have started to draw and colour on too. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. It will give me something to look forward to too I think. I love being creative. Thanks.

Hi Andrea,

I like to notice the seasons changing, it can help me be in the present moment and notice small things.

It's the spring now where I am. I'm photographing the changes and it's interesting to see.

In winter I would enjoy candlelight and make the home extra cosy with pillows, blankets etc. Those little things can set the atmosphere and lift the mood.

Perhaps a good book (if you like reading) or a nice movie might help enjoy the time spent inside.

I am not good at art but I like coloring books.

Hope you find something that inspires you...
