Blood Work

Im fixing to get blood work done. CBC and CMP. I'm so dang nervous. I freak out about blood clots and cancer. Gosh I'm sweating like crazy

Hi, I used to be nervous as I hated needles, never had the thoughts you have. It really is quite simple, had my flu shot on Sat, did not even feel the needle go in. I am set for an annual check up next month, first I will need to do a blood draw. I do not think about it and drive myself crazy, I keep warm so my arm will give, my veins roll, so I always tell the nurse, I do not look at the process, I look at a picture on the wall, the nurses are so good and they have fine needles. Sometimes when I am in the mood I go and give blood, that is a larger needle, I take a book with me and read while I go thru the process. Please be kind to yourself, do not wind yourself up, it is only a small thing in your day, and you are wise taking the tests, the results should give you some peace of mind.
