Lamotrigine question

This may seem like a stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone else had experience with this? I was started on lamotrigine recently, and I’ve been having a hard time with it. It made me super groggy and woozy. I tried taking it at night, but I ended up sleeping through most of the day. Have you guys had any experience with this? And if so, how do you time the dosing? Should I take it in the morning so I’m less sleepy during the day? I’ve only been taking it for about two weeks, but I need to work, so I can’t just ... keep missing work. Sorry for the long rant.

There are never any stupid questions! As for your question, I had bad side effects from it. But, we all react different from medications so maybe someone can tell you a success story!

Guessing you’re quite far in the Lamotigrine journey now but just wanted to say it was a nightmare for me also when started. I literally couldn’t sleep on the start off 50 dose. Switches to taking in morning with other meds was easier for me. Now on 250, felt a bit crap again around the 150 mark but feel pretty ok with it now apart from the ‘usual’ Side effects.
