Does anyone have any experience with all over body itching as a symptom of anxiety/stress? I’ve been itching all over for 2 days, and this is a new one for me.

Itching?
Haven't ever heard of this one as a symptom of anxiety but I do itch all the freaking time for no actual reason. I've realized that most of it is mental as it started at one point, I hated it, I began to fear it and then I itch even more. Writing this I realize that it could really be anxiety, never thought to view it from this angle. Thanks for pointing it out, gonna have to research it though.
Yes iv posted on this a few times .. It drove me mad. could be dehydration too though.. so I try to hydrate regularly. I had to see my GP about it once, he said ‘dry skin’ ! you need to moisturise 🤷♀️.... 😧... it didn’t help.
Yes my head itches all the time and I'm pretty sure it's anxiety
Mine too!
Do you have any suggestions on an antihistamine for those purposes? Itching and helping with anxiety? I’m not sure if recommendations are allowed.
I just turned 40, so that may be something to consider. Seems odd that it came after fear of liver problems. Or maybe it is actual problems. I had liver function labs last month for something totally unrelated and they were all normal. But still have this pain that scares me under my rib. I also have a liver hemangioma discovered 1.5 years ago, and wonder about that thing.
Thank you, that made me feel better.
I can see anxiety causing itching. Your skin is the biggest organ with tons of nerve endings. Stress can cause a rash, so why not itching? Makes sense to.me. and the white wine makes some sense too if you think how alcohol can cause the blood vessles in your skin to expand
My face turns red if i drink any alcohol.
Yes, I've had very weird unexplained itching for the past few years, off and on. Doctors never found anything wrong. Aveeno actually helped even though I didn't have any physical symptoms--it's nice and cooling. Also eliminating denim and anything else scratchy from my wardrobe. All soft cotton and linen all the time, baby. I still sometimes get flare-ups when I'm really anxious, though.
I have some problems with itching. Sometimes I have a feeling that something is crawling on me. Mostly my itching is usually shoulders, arms , back and neck. Nothing worked for me. Just have to let it work it's way out. Weird. Now for last 3 to 4 years I have had itching in groin areas and have been to dermotologist and she said it is due to stress. Go figure. She gave me a strong steroid cream to use to help with that. Then the rash comes for a bit until cream works. Problem is the cream can only be a short term solution. So the struggle continues with a revolving case of itching and rashes every month. Very annoying. I guess I will have to live with that with trips to dermotology every 3 months.
