How do we cope with life?
This is what I tell myself and my sister who is also coping with depression and anxiety. Take one thing and one day at a time. Choose only that one thing and cross everything else out until that one thing is done. It's easier than you think. We often have multiple things that pile up on us and it causes great anxiety and we get depressed if we can't do all of them at one time. Taking one thing at a time or at least make a list and sticking to it helps to delete a lot of that anxiety. One thing at a time.
Therapy helps me. I don't have a lot of friends I can talk to so I talk to my therapist and do art. Like writing and thinking about different projects I can do aesthetically to express myself. I call a warm line daily lately because of the loneliness. They know me there. I also am taking an online course.
So basically, I would say to talk about it or somehow express your feelings and self-care.
New changes always brings about different feelings and opportunities. Meditation and talking to trusted individuals are always helpful. Do you have any hobbies or passions? Doing things you enjoy, resting, and being physical helps with changes too. It provides a mental, emotional, and physical balance. Congrats on your new life. Take it a day at a time and continue to think positive and being around positive individuals. Wish you well.
I do say to friends and talk . Some people do not get my sense of bad humor ! I laugh when I should not ! I am too embarrassed re medication to ask. I love horse riding and crafting crochet etc .. I cannot get into my crochet though .. Thank you so much . Being positive it is so hard I will get there ... Someone had the chance I had they do not take I was listening to them and felt so grateful even though it has been hard for me and not always been grateful as have not been able to cope etc etc...
