I have been in anxiety state and take Ad
avan. The anxiety started in June. Recently the top of My head burns ,can feel nerve endings in my head going crazy buzzing. My face on the sides ate itchy and sensative to hair touching my face and ears. My upper arms burn. These feelings started 2 weeks ago.
Is this a reaction from the adavan (lorazapam) or is it just my nerves?
Has anyone experianced this?

I also suffer with depression,I think just brough on by the lockdown.IHave suffered with anxiety since I was way Young,a long time and it stinks , but this depression is way worse ,I wake up with the feeling of utter dread ,god knows how I make it through the day.IHave itch all over my head mostly at night I scratch sometimes till it almost bleeds ,so don't get much sleep.i have started to listen to biaural beats on tube through my headphones the beats without music. And I have started to get a few hrs sleep.I don't take depression pills anymore but have been taking propranolol only because I have started taking migraine . Hope this helps sweetie.
Try to think positive, know your in your safe place in your home as we all are. Dont let it do that to you! Nothing is worth putting us in a state of fear. We will get through all this! Dont watch the news, read, keep your mind occupied. Do you live alone? I live in Massachusetts, where are you from? You can get great support on this forum from many people which helps. I found this site 2 yrs. Ago and its been a great support for me. Makes me know I am not alone. Hugs to you!

How much and what is the dosage of aitvan? It could be a side effect but you should definitely call the doctor who prescribed it and let them know what is happening. They might need to change your dosage or switch medications. It could also be from the interaction of other meds or even a food allergy.
I take 0.5 once a day sometime 2 a day. Seems when it wears off after 6 hrs i get the symptoms when i am stressed I have been on the Adavan for a month and a half and did not have these symptoms before.
Is this the only medication you are on? Are you on any other med daily? It doesn't sound like a side effect from ativan but it could be. Still I would definitely call the doctor and tell them what is going on. You don't need to be miserable. There are other options out there. I'll be praying for you that the Lord would guide you in the right direction and heal you from the anxiety and depression.
I take a blood pressure pill 3 3times daily. VERAPAMIL 120.
VITAMINS, B VITAMINS.
I also get a sore throught Nd burning lips and toung..i tske 200 mg of ibuprophen which seems to alleviate the symptoms in about 1-2 hrs.
Definitely call your doctor and ask. That sounds like a side effect of drug or interaction between drugs. Hope you find a solution!
