For those who enjoyed seeing the last photos I posted, here are some more from my walks in Snowdonia.
The flowers in the bottom left are foxgloves.
I always remember climbing a mountain with my father and sister whilst on holiday in Wales as a child and seeing fox gloves. I was intrigued by their name and picked off the flowers and put one on the end of each finger. I remember my father telling me I should not do this as foxgloves are poisonous.
We climbed to the top of the mountain and looked out over the sea which seemed to stretch on forever.
There was also a view over the estuary where the the wild mountain river broadened and became tidal with sandbanks. Little would I have imagined then that I would one day own a little stone cottage that clung to the shore.

I’m a runner, I’d love do a run on the mountain side image you posted. I could get so lost in the sights I’d forget the fundamentals of my running and just run. 😁
I’m in the process of moving to my retirement home, your appreciation for your cottage home there reminds me of the appreciation I have for my new home, mine isn’t on the mountain shore, but it’s a little piece of heaven clinging to the mountain side. These images start my day, keep posting. 💜🌺
Thanks for your great reply. You must be very fit to do running in the mountains, I can just about cope with fast walking on the flat and slow walking up hills!!!
How exciting you are planning to move to your mountain retirement home.
Not sure if you like taking photos but it would be great to see some photos of the area.
As you know I tend not to post pics of the house or immediate area for reasons of maintaining confidentiality but the general area is fine I think.
