Hey everyone, please help me out here. This is freaking me out and panicked, having anxiety. I went to get blood draw today at Lifelab and as I went in room I saw there was a man inside but actually he was in wrong room number and hasn’t get his blood done yet. So I saw blue tube holder was on table just sat there . It looks like it has been used or something but not sure . I’m wondering if any lab reusing vein puncture tube holder? Is it safe reusing that? Any expert here that work in this field? She peeled off everything in front of me expect that tube holder. And after finished she disposed needle but not tube holder. I was assuming maybe she was preparing for the guy but was actually in wrong room . Or they are just reusing that because she disposed needles not holder. I don’t know . I never notice that before , just realized it today. Please share with me ur experiences. Thanks .

Slow down and Relax. There would of been a perfectly simple explanation to that. The people that work there get drilled into making sure the bloods get labeled and stored correctly with zero cross contamination. The only thing thats happened here it that the one you saw should of been thrown away but he might of asked to look or hold it thats all. I had a similiar thing happen to me once but it was perfectly normal...they just dont expect the next person to come along to notice things like that. Put it down to your very good eye for detail doing it job too well! Dont let yourself get carried away and to irrational. No mistakes were made x

The needles are sterile. It depends how through and neat and tiday they are too. Seems you just got one who wasnt very methodical thats all. Some people like their books neat on the shelf in alphabetical order...she is doesnt mind hers in a cardboard box in under her stairs. She was abit sloppy but you havent contracted anything from a dirty needle. Its impossible to use the same one twice with all the safety caps and seals they need to remove.
