Multiple Brain Zaps every night for six months

Hello everyone. So, I have had tinnitus just in my left ear for 6 years. Over this time I have now reached a place where it is just a gentle hiss most of the time that really doesn’t bother me much other than knowing it is there. However, on January 16 (funny how certain dates lodge in ones mind) I was reading in bed when a felt a brief ‘whoosh’ in my head from left to right followed shortly afterwards by another. A couple of weeks later I experienced a frightening ‘boom’ in my head. Slowly the whooshes became more frequent and more recently every night close together. Sometimes they are loud and frightening and other times barely noticeable. They ‘always‘ happen during the period between closing my eyes and slowly drifting into sleep. This will happen even if wake up in the night and whilst falling asleep again. I don’t experience them at any other time. The most I have experienced in one night one after the other over a short period of time is 31! Most nights it is two or three. Researching the phenomena, they seem to be associated mainly with withdrawal symptoms from antidepressants. However, I don’t and never have take any such medications. My doctor has not been any help whatsoever other than arranging a serotonin and vitamin B12 blood test that came back as normal. The zaps make my tinnitus louder for a time afterwards. Can anyone out there help me in terms of management techniques, treatments etc.
