Going back to work

I’m going back to a job that when I started was in a pretty bad place while dealing with my anxiety and depression. Was super anxious and jumpy. Now that I have it somewhat under control, I’m starting to get a bit antsy about heading back tomorrow. I also just came out of an in-patient session due to depression. A lot going on...

Im sure that going back to work will be good for you keep you busy keep your mind occupied and get you amongst people I cant wait to go back when we reopen, the very best of luck to you🙂

It hasn’t been as bad as thought. Even though I still get anxiety from time to time. Thank you for your well wishes

I felt that too when I was forced onto furlough for two weeks. Then going back to a job where I have to sit next to a narcissistic old lady spike my anxiety. That woman is a nightmare.

I told myself, "just for one day. You can do it!" I repeat that until I finally make it through to Friday. And repeated for next week.

Breaking routine maybe triggering the anxiety?

That sounds terrible. Have you ever thought about mentioning your anxiety to your job? I’ve been contemplating it for a bit. Don’t know what the backlash would be.... and I was thinking the same thing with breaking my routine. And I think it’s socially based as well. Not interacting with people for a long time. Then having to face them again.
