Going back to work

My 2 months sick note is almost up and I’m due back at work next week. I’m a bit apprehensive to say the least! But it should be ok, work is aware of my situation and will be putting into place a phased return for me. So it all sounds positive and promising. Here’s to finally moving forward & hopefully no more backwards steps.

Thanks Simonn. It was a major contributor to everything going on with me too. I was having one to one meetings with a group called together in a crisis. They summed it up well by saying, life now is just so busy and full of responsibilities, with just no time to stop and think. It’s not like how it used to be.

Unfortunately that’s the age we live in isn’t it. Just have to keep ploughing on and mulling through as best as we can. You’ve done the right thing by realising and recognising the issues. It’s the addressing them that’s the hard part.

What you say is so true. We're inundated with information, some of which is depressing and overwhelming. There's no time to stop and relax. Social media can depress us because it seems like everyone else is living the "good life" and "what's wrong with me?" The best thing to do sometimes is absolutely nothing (and not feel guilty about it). I am 60 years old and I have never felt so much pressure - socially, work-wise, or otherwise! Hang in there Clarebear! You most certainly are not alone. oxox

I'm happy for you! Remember if you take a step back , you can always take another one forward! Best of luck to you! X

Good luck to you! Remember that it's only a job. Hopefully, your little hiatus is just what you needed. You're fortunate to have a job that supports enough to give you "phasing in" stage. You'll do great!
