So, I am in my last few weeks of nursing school, just signed onto a job in a cardiac ICU, and I am now married. These are all amazing changes in my life. HOWEVER, I step on the scale for my employee-onboarding protocol and PANIC! I weigh more than I have in years. This change has brought back all my old anxieties. I find that I cannot be excited for all the positive things in my life. I am obsessing about my weight change. I have battled with altered eating patterns for years, but I never expected a gain to hit me so hard. What do I do? Am I alone in this? Am I the only one that feels this way?

No, I feel that way too, I used to weigh between 118 and 125 lbs. Then I got into the menopause, I piled on the weight, seemed like there was nothing I could do about it, I went faithfully to the gym, did not help, now I am 40 lbs heavier!!! But I feel well, my blood pressure is good, my cholesterol is also good, so I bought bigger clothes and donated the ones to small. I feel happy and content, my Dr. tells me I am well and not to worry. So take a look at it from a different view, I would imagine as a nurse you will be on your feet a Lot, so you will probably loose some weight. Your husband loves you so put that to rest, time has a way of changing most things....I send you peace, love and hugs.......
