Okay. So why do I not drink to the point of dehydrating myself? Does anyone else have trouble drinking? Especially water or not sweet beverages?

Dehydration
Sometimes, Yes! I love having my drinks cold, it makes me drink more but have you tried flavored water?
I will make myself drink. I’m kind of wondering why my brain tries to stay dehydrated. Weird.
What do you mean?
I think it’s something about being dehydrated. I know it makes people tired. But it’s almost like my brain likes being dehydrated. Because I don’t drink to the point of being really thirsty and still kinda just don’t want to drink. I think it is related to brain chemistry
I do the same and let me tell you when you have tummy issues and you don't hydrate enough it makes you feel worse. That being said I drank a little over a liter this morning. Its hard because before i was 20 ish I was never a water fan. Then I got into it and started noticing positive changes. Yet I go up and down alot. Then when I was 29 I was determined to lose weight one thing I had to do was drink half of my body weight in oz. It truly helped. Getting in a habit and forcing yourself to drink when you think about it works for me. I'm trying to drink more but sometimes im not the best at it. I hope this helps you. Anything with caffine is a diuretic so avoid it if you can. Take care❤
I read somewhere that the human brain kinda like feeds off of certain things. It increases a certain kinda thoughts when I don’t drink or when I use caffeine (try to keep to two cups a day). Best way I can describe it, it’s kinda like a zoning out by ruminating on repetitive thoughts. But this decreases energy and probably not the best for me. I can drink water with a splash of juice!
Thanks!
I only drink about 3 cups/glasses a day, mostly weak coffee or cider. My lips often go dark in the morning, sometimes in the late evening, but I still don't drink much more than that, unless I am really trying, or it is really hot??
I gave up coke a cola several years ago, because I was addicted to all that sugar. I find that Crystal light (banana, orange, strawberry) does the trip.
All I drink is water but apparently I don’t drink enough because I’m always feeling tired like I’m dehydrated. Also at night it gets worse and I wake up with dry mouth, it takes forever to feel fully hydrated.
My niece also is a water drinker like myself and her doctor told her she drinks to much water.
Hi Finding Tree, feeling tired can be more than about water...Medication can cause both
dry mouth and tired feeling... being anxious can cause mouth breathing at night causing
dryness. Drinking too much water is more rare but can cause overwork of our kidneys.
I'd say most people are dehydrated. Caffeinated drinks and alcohol can also cause
dehydration. Like they say, "everything in moderation" too much of a good thing isn't
good either. xx
Same! I also have trouble drinking water and it always drives me nuts whenever i drink many glasses of water, but my doctor recommended me some alternative method to replenish my body with water and hydration, my doctor made me try IV Therapy | iv-professionals.com/ at first i was hesitant to try it because i'm very scared of needles but it was the best decision that i have ever tried in my life, it does not just made my body stronger but it also makes my skin glow and clear!
Yup! I hate water, as weird as that might sound! I've had to get into the habit of just sitting in front of a TV, watching whatever I like, and sipping water until I've drank two bottles, and I do this at every meal. It's time-consuming, but at least I am hydrated.
