I’ve been on sertraline 8-9 weeks now and I started in 25mg but I’m on 75mg now. I feel pretty numb and don’t interact as I should do. I don’t know if it’s the medication or the current lockdown situation. Only been on the 75mg this week do might be adapting. I’ve started CBT but not sure if it’s for me but sticking with it. At the moment I’m furloughed so not going out apart from my dog walk daily. Just so fed up feeling reluctant to interact. I’ve felt this way on and off for years. Hope your all keeping safe xx

You may need to allow the revised dose time to work, so be patient,
You will be starting CBT, hopefully, eventually that will make you understand how you need to confront your problems and move on. It is not only the CBT and Medication that is going to help you, it is up to you to know how to help yourself and move on.

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. The quarantine doesn’t help. The meds take a long time to kick in sometimes and I know it’s difficult but if they’re gonna work it could be 6-8 weeks. If they don’t work, try something new. Keep in touch with your doctor especially when starting a new med.
CBT is great and I’m glad that even though you’re not sure, you’re sticking with it, good for you. I have found Acceptance and Commitment therapy is pretty good too when I’m able to do anything at all.
You’re on meds, you’re here and that’s brave. Be kind to yourself and patient with yourself.
I’m always here if you ever need to chat, always and I’ve been through years of this crap.
