Abilify problems?

I'm not sure if it's the isolation and having nothing to do or if it's the abilify but I've been sleeping 12+ hours and staying up all night. I just started abilify about 2 weeks ago and I take 10mg every night around 9 and try to sleep at 11. I feel drained when I wake up and have a headache every morning as well. Am I doing something wrong or is it just that I'm bored maybe my pillows are giving me tension headaches? Anyone have the same problem?

That’s sounds like ur body trying to adjust to the abilify. I would just let the side effects take its course. If it doesn’t let up in a few weeks talk to your doctor your dosage maybe too strong .

Check with your doctor, like Surviving said. And I agree on maybe it's a large dose? I started out at 1 mg Went up to 2.5 and am now on 5 mg. Of course your doctor knows best but if you're having side effects I would definitely discuss it.

That might make sence since they started me on 5mg then the next night told me to take 10mg.

I hated all antidepressants they didn’t work only made me a zombie. You might have anxiety issues not depression. That was the case for me and I was switched to anti anxiety from anti depressants. I feel 100% better I would go to another doctor and explain that maybe you were not diagnosed properly.

I added 2mg to Effexor and my energy levels were great. The abilify made all the difference. I had finally found the perfect combo for me.

Meds only help so much though.. bc between this pandemic and a family member getting diagnosed with cancer.. I am extremely depressed and sleeping a lot again.
