How did you guys find HealthUnlocked? I mean, if I'm being honest it's not the most common thing to look up on the internet. I don't really remember the first time getting on here, but I do remember looking up natural tips to deal with anxiety and, if I'm not mistaken, HealthUnlocked pulled up. So how about you guys?

I think I was googling something like "online depression support groups" and this was a site that was pulled up.

This was a year ago, right after I had completed a partial hospitalization program for depression and anxiety. I could not find any physical groups in my area. I prefer something in person, but this is a small push in a better direction, I think.

in reply to

Are you glad you joined the group?

in reply to

Yea. Sometimes I don't know who to reach out to- it seems to require more effort and energy than I have at the moment-- so this place is a light push in a positive direction.

in reply to

I agree.

I am on a meditation app. It was recommended by someone in one of the groups I was involved in on that site.

I googled “online mental health support” and this was maybe the 3rd or 4th thing to come up. I’ve been using this app for a couple of days now but I already feel part of a community which is huge! I don’t really have that in the “real” world.

This is a great community to be apart of! We are all like one big family, and can all relate to each other in some way. I'm glad you joined!

It won't be too hard! There's a lot of people on here who you can reach out too!

I was struggling very bad with my anxiety and googling symptoms, causes and then came across links from people going through what ive been dealing with. (Don't use Dr. GOOGLE!)

my honest opinion I struggled for a long time on here to feel accepted probably over two years before I did even though I spent day and night responding to posts.in the beginning not many guys frequently used the forum so maybe that's why.this forum can be whatever you want it to be good or bad.the best thing to do is be yourself be your own guy/woman and you will do well.i have had a lot of great experiences of being here but a fair few of not so great ones and they are the ones that have happened more recent.all of us want to feel accepted and supported or there is no point being here.when you feel that sense of avoidment towards you it can feel pretty tough but over 5 years ive been here and probably reached out as much as anyone.good feelings will come again for me on the forum I will be here till the day I die.

Well I'm very glad your are here, kenster.
