I Had to Delete Facebook and Twitter...

I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like my content on there was way too negative and it was literally making me SAD. I do not regret it one bit. I honestly feel less stressed and it has only been a few days. I did however keep my insta, Pinterest, and noticed on both of those I don't follow hardly anyone at all I know. I genuinely enjoy it and don't friend people out of obligation I guess if that makes sense? I might eventually go back but I just feel like at the moment I can't handle any extra unnecessary stress or negativity. Is that crazy?

I left all my socials for the same reason. It is so much more peaceful I feel like I can sort things out in my head. This is the time to focus on ur healing.

I left it also. Nothing on social media like facebook and others can be genuine as in real person to person interaction. I see alot of artificial/fakeness on there that i know isn't how most people conduct themselves on a daily basis so i said goodbye!

I totally know how you feel ! I recently deleted my facebook because i realized I just didn’t care about the people I went to high school with lives. There was so much negativity and self comparison I felt depressed. I would get easily triggered by things . I try to stay off of social media because there is so much unrealistic expectations

Just make sure that you keep in touch with those people who aren't toxic for you. Don't cut ties with everyone...

Unfortunately being out of social media means some form of alienation... so better not to burn bridges, try to keep in touch with some people through other platforms:) good luck!!

That's great! Social media can be a real trigger. I, unfortunately, can't just get rid of it because I use it for promotions. But I find I have to hop off of it. I feel anxious about the news, I feel easily triggered by disinformation, and find myself angry over things I disagree with. So good for you getting off! I have a friend who deleted all social media over a year ago and doesn't miss it at all.
