Hello everybody,

Every since this outbreak has been going on, I've been having a panic attack and anxiety. I am so afraid of this virus, it makes me feel like I have the symptoms. This is how bad my anxiety has gone. Please give me tips on how to calm my mind from this... I have not been working, so it does not make it better. School has been extra stressful. Nothing seems to help me cope with what is going on. Thanks in advance.

After taking all the necessary precautions try to put it out of your mind.

Concentrate on you, sip water - nice cold water. Do some deep breathing exercises. Plan a healthy meal. Get into the habit of drinking more water - a glass first thing in the morning, before every meal & last drink of the evening. Change to decaf tea and coffee. Anxiety can cause dehydration. When we get dehydrated we felt unwell and this intensifies our anxiety.

Switch the TV off and try baking or focusing on something different. Listen to music, watch an old Disney DVD. Think positive. You will get through this. Look through the recent 'happy ' and distracting posts on here.

God Bless xXx

I'm sorry to hear that. I know that SO many people feel the exact same. I do too, it hits me in waves. I dont know what to tell you to help,( trying to figure that out myself)besides that you are not alone. When it gets bad for me I spend time with my pets, drink a tea and focus on breathing. Just taking life one breath at a time. ( literally. But micogoals help too)I have been listening to audiobooks to combat the boredom, comedies they help to distract. It is hard. It helps me to consider history. Look at the positive, all the plagues and disease and famine that our forefathers had to face, and we are still here. People are remarkably resilient, it is not the end, it might be dark out, but darkness passes too. We will beat this together!

Wishing you well and praying for your peace.
