Don't ever hesitate to call your MD.

Anytime you feel an infection is lingering, call your doctor.

I’ve had a few bouts of stubborn bronchitis in the past and unfortunately we are not qualified to make the best appropriate advice for your individualized needs, so always better to contact the doc as you are doing. Hope it clears up soon.

I had acute bronchitis for a couple of months. December it was allergies I thought. January slight congestion and February boom! Coughed so much I though I kissed my lung! :/ I waited until after my one day fever of 102 in February broke before calling the doctor. Why did I share all this?

KEEP TRYING your doctor :) It isn't worth it. Allergens... Wow!

Until then, if you don't have a humidifier to moisten your indoor air whether one room or whole house, a pot of boiling water on the stove will help. I am not saying steam your face. :) Hope you get well soon. Keep us updated about your doctor visit

If you have completed the course of Antibiotics and you are still not right it sounds like that medication has not worked, Talk to your Doctor once more, a further Antibiotic may be needed

The problem is Antibiotics are failing and other drugs will need to be tried. Antibiotics over the years have been over prescribed so are not working.

Some decongestant may also help.

When you talk to your Doctor will advise when He sees you

Ring the doctors as you might need more ab's or a different one and maybe even steroids as well.

I just read your update. Your body is fighting to kick it out. It is better to not "suppress" coughing which is one of the way to kick out phlegm(sorry). Spitting it out or the other two ways I won't mention. It will only fester or circulate until the antibiotics knocks it on it's rear! :)

Mainly: FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR'S orders

You will get through it. Take precautions mostly by keeping your temperature down. If you do the v word, DO NOT drink anything cold right after or within the hour because it will cause you to do it all over again. The usual... Clear liquids.

Hope this helps as you get better. :)
