Laid off

Friday I got temporarily laid off from my job due to the Corona Virus. The job was in a terrible toxic environment and in one way I am happy it happened. However, I NEED the job, health insurance and paycheck, so I am asking you for your advice during this time. Should I look for another job or use this time to clean and refresh myself and wait for them to call? Thanks much!

Ritzrock, my friend. Sometimes, blessings come disguised. I know how

toxic your workplace was for you. I also know how important it is to have

security in a job, paycheck and health benefits. However....now that you

have this little break from that company, I would try to attack both issues.

Working on yourself can help reduce the stress you are under right now and

give you the time you need to practice it daily. Although many companies are

closed, it's given opportunity for the ones that are taking over to hire thousands

of new people. In a time of need like this, I hope the window opens for you to find

something that will not tax your mental health.

Using the forum, you will get the help and support you need by talking with the

many others in the same position. Whatever you do, remember that your mental

and physical health come first. Take care of you. :) xx

Ritzrock there are so many people in the same position right now. Apply for unemployment. I know it’s a night anxious time. I’m a pilot and just lost my dream job. Hopefully it’ll all turn around soon

I'm sorry that's happened to you.

I lost my job in December as well.

My daughter worked at McDonald's for a year and nine months. Her last day was last Sunday. Mean while she started a new job at another company. The new company message her the first day of the virus and his going to pay her. She only started with them for two weeks. My daughter looks so much happier and at peace. Change your job. It's your life and you happiness

I would say to look for another job as theres still jobs about for those who want them.

Jobs won't come to find you!

Best of luck!
