Nice photo
Beautiful.
Wow, this is gorgeous. Wherever it is I want to be there.
Beautiful photo!! Thanks for sharing.
That was the ideal thing to do to share a walk with your brother in the outdoors. We are bombarded with devastating news every day and to survive and stabilize our thoughts we need to find pockets of enjoyment throughout our day as well as limiting our intake of virus news.
For me, my pocket of enjoyment is assisting a friend by watching over her apt and her two felines, Misha and Mimi, while she is aware visiting her grandchildren. Both cats are so different in personality that it keeps me on my toes! She has a large flat screen tv and Netflix so I can treat myself to as many different interests as I like. I am attempting to teach myself acrylic painting and so I have spent time watching artist, Bob Ross, and will try his recommendations at home where I have an ample supply of canvases and paints.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photo and your wonderful moments with your brother!
" pockets of enjoyment" - I love this expression! I go for long walks every day and might start running too. I need it for sanity. Not a big fan of running though.
Enjoy your time with the kitties, purring is so therapeutic. I have 3 cats, all different too. They keep me company when I'm on my own and seem so happy and oblivious to everything. I wish I was a cat sometimes!
And I wish I could draw and paint. That's great that you're inspired and have a new hobby. Enjoy ! Stay positive x
Thanks for sharing your own "pockets of enjoyment." Love learning that purring is therapeutic. Tell me more of your three fur babies, names and ages please. What is the one characteristic about each that sets them apart from each other?
They have funny names
Boruta- 10 year old tabby, a bit overweight ( on diet now), she' s the boss in our household, used to suck on her tail but had to grow up when we adopted 2 kittens. She thinks she's a dog sometimes, fetches sticks from the garden and waits for me to throw them.
Fisiek- huge, long haired black and white. 7kg but not fat. Very shy, when meows there's a " h" at the end : meeowh scared of everything. Likes sleeping with his belly up. Loves cuddles but only in the morning. We have to wash his teeth every second day as he's got bad breath.
Balbinka - Fisiek's sister. Very thin and long, always cold. Pretends to be innocent and miserable but beats the other 2 up when we can't see them. Addicted to stroking, cries in the middle of night and leads me to her little bed against the radiator for 100 strokes
Any similarities with your friend's cats ?
My friend's cats are Mimi (her own cat) plump and spoiled, loves to be massaged down her spine and around her ears. If either of us stops, she reaches up with her front paw and indicates, "Why are you stopping?" She prefers to sleep, precariously, on the top of either love seat to keep an eye on things.
The new addition to the household is Misha and her attitude is one of a Diva, she has taken over the master bedroom and her owner now sleeps curled up on a love seat because she has tried unsuccessfully to remove her new roommate without success. Misha has a stump of a tail and one leg is deformed, I do not know her history. Her daughter thought her mother could use a new cat but Misha is not interested in making friends with Mimi and so each time Mimi approaches there is a lot of hissing.
I love it that we share a love of felines, thanks so much for introducing yours - what fascinating names, what do they mean and how did you come to call them their names?
The colours are gorgeous, love the way the lake looks almost silver... like an extension of the sky beautiful photo!
I know ..I sat there in silence and admired the view. Went home feeling much better.
