I just went into a homeless shelter on March 10th. Not liking it all. Had my fair share of anxiety attacks while here. there is about 9 people in the same room. 3 bathrooms for all of us and for the women who are on the safe haven section for mental health. We all have to do chores every night. Beds must be made every day. Meals are now separated due to the corona virus.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. But at least you have a roof over your head. You have indoor plumbing and the opportunity to take care of your living space and that increases your self esteem.
Keep posting and let us know how you're doing
Damn that’s tough, you are so brave though. I find it inspiring that you are not quitting and taking these hard steps to get by. I heard once in a shelter you can get fast tracked for shared housing where you would have one roommate but that may take up to a few months. Not sure if that’s a possibility where you are.
Things are difficult for you at the moment but they will not always be like this. I think you have a job, maybe it does not pay enough to cover the rent if a roon in a shared house. If this is the case look around for a job that pays more: it's so important to have your own private space.
You can look around for a better paying job or you could seek a better job working where you are. Have you thought of that?
Don't expect instant success. Also make sure you get on with the people you're sharing with, they may be able to tell you about new job opportunities. It's called networking.
Give it time, I know you will want an immediate solution but life is not like that.
What's your job at the moment? Are you based in the uk or us.?
hlangdon, as much as you don't like it, I'm glad you are safe, warm and fed.
Keep in touch with us, we care. xx
