First day of Spring!
Fun times, good times . Looks like a lovely day
Now - this is life.
xx
🐶
Aww thanks Mary-intrssuception yup it’s the good life! 😊 (((((((hug)))))))) how are you doing?
Ok
- well , truly ?
How long have you got !!! haha
Actually a bit better emotionally at the moment as my husband has eaten a little better today. He has been through so much. Seems like he's really on the road to recovery, then wham ! Something else happens. Best to take each day as it comes.
He had massive surgery followed by lots of complications - so a long recovery will be even longer, I guess.
We'll get there though.
You doing OK?
x
🙏 oh no prayers for you and your husband. That sounds rough... he must be a real fighter. I’m glad you two are doing better today. Anxiety is off and on for me constantly like a roller coaster but trying to stay calm. Pm me any time you want to talk and hoping things will improve. Taking each day as it comes like you’ve said is exactly right! Hard sometimes though.
first day of spring here tomorrow and a few days sun glad you had a good time star.
I'm proud of you Starrlight...
Happy Spring xx
What a lovely image of the first day of spring. Can feel the joy of you
being with your family at a favourite place. That's what helps us too when the sun comes out and there is light.
True the sun sure does help spirits to rise. Yes there was much joy there for us. How are you doing?
Adapting to the new change in isolating from kids. Kids play outside making a bit of noise enjoying football and running about. That makes me happy as well as my hubby who loves being outside wet or fine. It is a struggle to keep him in during wet an damp. He has arthritis and rheumatism but only when he flakes out with too much gardening does the penny drop. Have been doing some cookery trying to cook more meals a week. I have had one disaster making some fish cakes with added mashed potato. I fried the mixture and it all fell apart, looking like salmon mush with a baked potato in a thick coat of olive oil. The remains of the super meal went outside for the cats. who have not spurned my attempts! Pets are such fun. Guess we can enjoy each day at a time.
Yes exactly-enjoying moments one day at a time- I’m trying to be calm for my kids and for myself. Your focus on cooking move meals is so positive ... lol @ the cats getting the dinner... yup they ARE so fun! I feel for your hubby having to stay in when it’s wet... I’d definitely cheat too if it were me 😆
Managed another meal this evening - a bit better with mince aubergine celery carrots cooked flavoured with beef stock cubes and tomato puree then with cheese grated and a baked potato. My cookery is described as
rustic craft..my cakes tilt and the icing slips the happy birthday scroll
looks like f...off ha!
Ha! You are funny! I love your energy. Your meal sounds yummy. 😋
Presentation better, though the meal slipped sideways but hubby was pleased except for the mess in the kitchen. That's one way to cut down on the meals as I hear the muffled groans of sticky pans and washing up ha!
You are great for helping with photos that mean such a lot. Its these moments when we are holding on to not show how nervous we feel about the virus.
I spend time digging for information to help immune system. The US has more up to date information so can pin point research for certain home remedies which we may not be aware have hidden benefits to the immune system. An example is quinine found in tonic water. It has been used for malaria for many years and now has research to back that it has both antibacterial and anti viral benefits. Can write down the title of the research and the links though often my links don't work.
healthline.com has a list of foods that may help the immune system
and are said to be antiviral. These include oregano sage basil , fennel, garlic, lemon balm, peppermint, rosemary, echinacea, sambuca or elderberries and elderflower , licorice root has been used for centuries by eastern countries for centuries, hiv rsv herpes severe acute respiratory syndrome related to sars -cov coronavirus which causes a type of pneumonia. Having had pneumonia several times I am on the look out for info. others are ginger dandelion . Most research has been linked to test tube and many with mice. I eat coconut oil and take high doses of high vitamin c which seemed to have helped my immune system over the past year or so. vitamin D is one of the most important vitamins as it works together with iron and calcium and vitamin k to help the immune system. We are busy every day. I am knitting a seater on a machine and have spent several days on it. Hope it fits. Hubby is out in the garden most of the day and now grandchildren off school. They are happy but parents are going through a difficult time. Hope you are feeling better with everything going on.
My positive of the day was to find my dried up tomato seeds in the greenhouse and plant some more taken out from a large tomato . Fresh tomatoes are what I really enjoy, but last year bought cherry tomatoes plants and had hardly any to eat. Swiss chard from last year growing well so will be picking some soon. That is what I love the new life after the awful winter.
Niiice. I love tomatoes. I’ve planted flower seeds so far but it’s been a few weeks and no sign of sprouting do I may need to try again.
Fun!!
Yes! How’s it going?
It's going great! I'm loving this spring weather! How about you?
Yup today it got hot and sunny ☀️ 😎 🌞 so I got a glimpse of summer... I just loooove summer ... glad you are enjoying the weather too.
Hi Star.
That is great. So glad you are enjoying yourself. That little one looks so joyful running along. Beautiful path you have there in your neck of the woods. ❤️
Hi Poodie! How are you?
Yes we were all joyful 😀 and lucky to have such a place to just be.
I am just o k but that is o k. I will come around again.
I have a place much like that to be. I need to use it.
Gosh, your kiddo looks so cute and huggable. Reminds me of my own!
Looks so beautiful & peaceful. And your little guy seems to be having a blast. Lots of love & hugs.
❤️ (((((((((((Melbrown))))))))))) ❤️ so good to read you! Oh yeah we all love nature. What have you been up to?
Trying to stay calm in all this... our area has been on shelter in place since Tues & our govenor just did it for whole state. My husband & I are very lucky still have our
jobs... considered vital so can go in. Nice to have something to distract me. I hope you & your family are doing well.❤
I’m glad you still get to go to work since that’s helpful for you.
We are well. Teaching my children lessons each day, gardening, going out into nature, ... my older son is a butcher so there are concerns since my elderly parents and asthmatic kids are in danger with him coming home as we all live together and my husband goes to houses so if it gets worse he may have to stop work too.
That sounds rough Starrlight. I hope your older guys are extra scrubbing, especially when they come home. Hope you are enjoying all the bonding with your little ones... sure your pup is enjoying all her humans being home more. Will be keeping your family in my thoughts. ❤❤❤
I keep thinking it will work out somehow. Are you still working?
I'm a receptionist for a property management company, our business is considered vital... so able to work. My brother works with me, so he has been taking me to & from work... he's my boss & knows me being at the office is good for me. Most everyone at our office is working home. And right now our door is close, so little interaction with people face to face. I'm very lucky that the owners have agreed to pay us full time, even though we aren't working that right now. I'm so grateful to be apart of this team. There are some things I can do from home, if I want or if it comes to that.
Beautiful picture
I'm so loving this post...it's killer cool....thank you so very much sis! Looks like you all had the time of your life...how could you not in nature?
Happy Spring!
Sparkles & dump trucks sis!
Glad you love it! Yeah it’s always amazing going into nature,... it blesses with being grounded, connected, calmer, more alive, loving and positive. Maybe some day we will go into nature together. Ya never know!
Nature ...as you and I know is where it's at! Is that your little one with the beautiful blonde hair? Takes me back to my 2nd son & his blonde locks when young...absolutely beautiful!
Sparkles & dump trucks sis!
Yup that is my 12 year old in the pic. It’s fun thinking back on their younger years isn’t it!? My other younger one just turned 8.
It sure is fun looking back and if I were you unless he wants those beautiful locks cut off I'd keep em! He's the skateboarder? I hope I'm right....fingers crossed.....
May your day be more beautiful than you!
Sparkles & dump trucks sis!
Yes he’s the skateboarder. My younger has brown almost shoulder length hair now. I want to cut it but he likes it long like his bro.
As long as they can rock the long hair...which in my opinion they're doing a great job of it...why cut it? Not many males can groove the long hair and I find it to be Killer Cool!
Sparkles & dump trucks sis!
Honestly makes me so happy to see this photo! You out there enjoying the nature , sun and fresh air ! I’m so proud 😘 bet the kids got all their energy out hehe!
Awww so nice Hope yup we all got our energy out, was a good time and can’t wait to go again! ❤️
Looks like a slice of paradise
Hi Ladyandthepetdog!!! Yes! It really is. We are lucky to have many nice parks around.
