I've been on viibryd for about 8 months. I haven't had any weird symptoms or anything, but I did feel it wasn't working like I wanted it to (was up to the 40 dose) so the doctor put me in wellbutrin as well. Have been on the combination now for about a month and a half. Still adjusting, but I feel more focused now.

Thanks for the reply.. Good to know and encouraging.. I tried Welbutrin and it didn't work well for me.. This one hopefully will be a good "fit"..

I take it in the morning. but sometimes it makes me drowsy. My doctor said I could take it in the afternoon or evening if I feel too tired in the morning. Otherwise no bad side effects.

Thanks for you reply.. I'm only into my second day at 10 mg..titrating up to 20mg over the course of two weeks.. I hope there will be some benefit to this.. I'm also concerned that my insurance won't cover it...

Hi. I had the same experience with Paxil. It worked beautifully for 20+ years and then much to my surprise, it stopped working. It took me about a year to figure out that it was the Paxil that was making me feel so sick. Over the next couple years, I tried Lexapro, Effexor and Celexa with no luck. I was getting worse. I decided to get a DNA test because I was so tired of the trial and error rollercoaster. Little did I know Paxil, Lexapro, and Celexa were on the list of not recommended for my DNA. Wow was I surprised and relieved because I really started to think I was going crazy. So there were several medications that were on the list of medications that were compatible with my DNA, however, that doesn't mean they will all work. I tried Pristiq first and I felt better, but not great. I was finding I would feel a surge of anxiety after I took it and it wasn't really settling down, so I would take it with Klonopin. Not so sure that is how it's supposed to work. I felt like I was off setting the Pristiq with Klonopin. Yikes! Anyway I tried Viibryd and was very nauseous and really emotional after 4 days, so I stopped it immediately. I then decided to try Prozac and I must say it has worked well! That's just my experience. I hope Viibryd works well for you, but if not keep trying or if you can get the DNA testing. It was well worth it!!!!!

DNA testing.. Good idea. That must cost a lot.
