Hey. It might not be the right forum to write about this but I really need some advice. I have this emptiness inside of me and I think the main reason for it is because I don't get enough from things that could potentially fulfill me. The main obstacle are books, which I find very difficult to read (I get lots of anxiety) since I've had my mental breakdown (C-PTSD), so I am looking for new things that could fill the hole inside of me. I am still studying, I paint, make music, design a board game and things where I have to express myself, yet I still don't have the right media to gather new ideas and concepts that could fulfill me

Can't read!
We are all here to support each other in whatever way we can. Have you thought of trying ceramics/clay sculpting
Hi af355, I heard that photography can help some people.
It gets you outdoors among nature. Whether sunshine or rain,
you can always get a good picture. You may even get to be news
worthy. Try it, you have nothing to lose. xx
Yes working with polymer clay is very calming and rewarding. You might surprise yourself with what you can make. I did this and it helped bring me out of a serious depression. Plus I learned to make jewelry and earn money from it.
Adult coloring books, my friend. When I find I can't take life, just putting on a TV show and coloring is so, so great for me. If you want anyone to talk to, though, here I am!
I find it difficult to read now, my concentration in general changed after a break down some years ago..i can listen to meditations , usually on you tube, and sometimes listen to stories rather than read them ...
Understand how you feel..

Why not audio books or podcasts? I love to read but don’t find the time. You can listen while doing things. On your drive to and from work. Or while doing chores (depending on the task)
I find I enjoy it and get that brain stimulation.

I understand where you are coming from. I struggle with reading too especially since a breakdown a few years ago. This may seem weird but have you tried something like dance classes (could be salsa or any form of dance)? This has helped me enormously with my memory, coordination, creativity etc. and it's just good ol' fun.
What about gardening or caring for houseplants? Another thought is getting a book of poetry from the public library and reading poems aloud. It can be therapeutic to do so—poems are shorter than books and take only a couple minutes to read. Reading aloud allows you to hear the sounds and connect to the rhythms of the poem. Another thought is reading beautiful picture books to yourself or a child. Best wishes to you!
