Has anyone here ever tried Low Dose Naltrexone (or LDN)? Low Dose Naltrexone refers to dosages ranging from approximately .5mg-5mg
According to my research, some forms of depression are caused by endorphin deficiencies in the body. LDN dramatically increases endorphin levels which can be a life-changer for these people. I wish I could do a blood test to find out if I am low on endorphins.
I read a study on it which said:
"Since LDN can upregulate endogenous opioid activity, it may also have a role in promoting stress resilience, emotional well-being, as well as amelioration of psychiatric problems such as depression. It is proposed that LDN can be used effectively as a buffer for a large variety of bodily and mental ailments through its ability to beneficially modulate both the immune system and the brain neurochemistries that regulate positive affect."

There is also a lot of information about it through the LDN Research Trust , ldnscience.org/lp/ldn-menta...
In "The LDN Book", edited by Linda Elsegood, which I really want to read too, an entire chapter is dedicated to the use of LDN in treating mental conditions.
Please let me know what you think and if you have personal experience to share.
