Hi! I have a job interview for a receptionist job tomorrow and I am so nervous. I should be asleep right now but I can't close my eyes. I feel a panic attack coming on. My social anxiety is telling me not to go and I'm already thinking of excuses. I have never done this type of job that's so involved with people and I'm freaking out. I just applied to try to get out of my comfort zone but just the interview is stressing me out. Any tips?

Help with job Interview
It's just an interview. No one has offered you a job yet. They may not. You may not want to take it anyway. Look at it as practicing your interviewing skills. Even when I was in a job I liked (I'm retired now), I would go on interviews for other jobs just because.
Take it one step at a time.
Update: I couldn't do it. I didn't go and i feel worse now.
I can't do better than my best. My disease puts so many limitations on me, I hate it. Don't beat yourself up.
Maybe that particular job was not meant for you. Focus on the positive (you had applied even though you were apprehensive). That is a successful first step. Leave the negative self talk behind and try again. You could get further in the process this next time. When it is the right job for you then things will line up to make it happen. This one wasn’t the right job for you. Think of it in a positive light. That is what helps me.
I have found a combination of exercise, meditation and journaling helps my nerves. In the journal I write down what the worst case scenario could be. Seeing it on paper makes it seem less daunting. Good luck
