Hello all,

At my current job, the are cutting budgets left and right (not sure how long my job is safe for) and I keep getting extra responsibilities with no extra benefits and pay. I have been applying to jobs left and right, and I finally got an interview somewhere that I think I would excel at. I went on the interview and I felt like it went well. This would be a right step for the career I want to go into and there is a lot of ways to move up.

The interview was on Monday and ever since then I have been so anxious about if I’m going to get the job or not. I really want this job but I keep going back in my head thinking of all the things I could have done differently, or that there are probably more qualified people who are being interviewed so I won’t get the job.

I also have not gotten many interviews, so not getting this job means I have to start all over again which causes my anxiety to rise.

Anyone have any ways to help with this sort of anxiety??

You should send them a nice thank you email for meeting with you. It might help with the process. And maybe even give them a call tomorrow to check in and see if they made any decisions yet. I just went through this too. I got the job yay! But, I had so much anxiety every single interview and waiting around for a response. It's totally normal. And you obviously want this job since you have anxiety. Good luck and let us know if you get the job!! What's meant to be, will be!!

I send the email that night. Just with the holidays they said they probably wouldn’t get back to me till the new year. The waiting kills me though.

Keep an open mind and try to enjoy the holidays. There’s nothing wrong with sending another email to check in. But even if you don’t get it, it might not be the one for you. You deserve to enjoy the holidays without worry. So enjoy them okay?? 🎄🎁⭐️

Hello,

I’ve been to many interviews when I was applying for a view and I was also anxious. Praying for you for peace as you wait and you will have the job you need. Keep us posted.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, God bless!

Everyone, I’m trying my best to just forget about it and enjoy the holidays, but it’s very hard to just turn anxiety off sometimes. Hopefully once the holiday starts up I will put it in the back of my mind.
