My plumber is one of my dearest friends. They deserve a lot of credit especially after fixing a plumbing problem. Such as when our hot water heater was going out, my plumber came to the rescue and replaced ours. Plus he inspected all our plumbing and understands our house’s pipes.

He’s a hero to me and a great anxiety relief. And when he finishes his job I usually take him out to a meal and we enjoy our conversational friendship.

Thanks for that. Plus we teachers have/had out of pocket expenses because of school “budget.” Still I adored my students and really strove to educate them on a nurturing basis.

Hi Brig57,

I used to be an Adult School teacher for years. It’s hard work and low paying. Yet when a student would tell me, “Thanks Mr Z. You got me go get it. I really learned something today. You’re a great teacher,” I would feel on top of the world.

Which in my humble opinion goes to show that life’s paycheck is not money. Rather, it is giving and receiving gratitude. ❤️

I’ve taught and coached for forty years Run out of a college program

Because I was too practical and not higher education nonsense which the students will never use

I used to be a very good teacher and like u tried to boil complex subjects down to the essence like physiology and manY other subjects so they would remember it not cram and forget

The students today in my areas are not nursing vet or medical students

They largely cram bs and listen to people who are good bs and no experience

Teaching in public schools I don’t know how they donas there is zero authority

I visited schools everywhere innbehalf of my college

Students doing homework on floors and everywhere but a table most can’t do basic math or write duecto the

Programs not the students

I have no idea how teachers survive today

Lots of teachers use their salaries to buy supplies etc

School was an escape for me and my teachers very special often surrogate parents for kids with certain homes
