how long does it take to recover??
I had the same experience a few times. I cant imagine feeling more awful then I did. Especially the first one but I had major anxiety before I tried weed. I got on sertraline after that as the high anxiety and panic never went away. I had derealization for about 2 months after that panic attack. I would have smaller panic attacks even when I didnt smoke weed. Then I would live in fear of having the attacks and that would make it worse. The sertraline stopped the panic attacks. I also found out I had thyroid issues and it helped the anxiety a lot when I addressed that. You might be able to stop them with therapy or meditation but I can only speak for myself. I haven't had a major panic attack probably in about 10 years. Had a few minor ones.
I was reading through some of your old posts and you sound a lot like I was. It kind of brought me back to those old scary anxious feelings. Your body and mind went into the fight or flight mode because the weed changed your perception of reality and it was too much too handle. Your not going crazy you just need to relax and get some relief. Once you get that relaxation and your body starts taking those consistent deep breaths you will be great!I had to use sertraline but I might be able to get off of it soon with the help of treating my thyroid and changing my diet. Diet can play a major role in anxiety. I've read tons of stories of people who had major anxiety because of gluten intolerance and celiac disease.
I respect u for telling me all this it definitely means alot to me and I will take in your advice thx
Feel free to message me anytime. I know how difficult it can be to get help when you're anxiety is high and you feel like you have to pretend everything is okay all the time. After it was all said in done I was thankful for my weed experience because it showed me that something in my body and mind was not functioning right and I got the help I needed. I know that can be hard to understand right now.
Thank u very much 😊
Your welcome. Thanks for letting me help🙂 and share my experience with you. I would stay away from weed at least until the panic is under control.
