Set one goal at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed 💕

There is an app called SuperBetter that might be helpful for you. I have not used it, but I listened to a fascinating TED talk with the creator. It turns your recovery into a series of small quests to be accomplished each day and is intended to help you cope with and, hopefully, conquer your anxiety, depression, etc.

I love TED talks. The speaker on this show keeps me motivated and help me deal with the challenges of life.

Initiate contact with one person each day. Can be friend or stranger. Can be through a text or commenting on a board like this.

Move your body for 20 minutes. Walk the block. Turn on some ted talk and march in place or play music at home. Anything to get the blood moving.

I like to make a list. When I was really sick it was a very small list.

Making a check mark beside a task motivated me to try the next thing on the list.

It became a challenge to see what I could accomplish.

Good for you. You are on your way to recovery from what and organizing your life. You are in control of your life. Control your life. Don't let life control you. Don't ever give away your ower. Life is a challenge. I am a very successful health care practitioner, However, if people new of the life I came from, they would be shocked and ask me how did I make it.

It's amazing what we can hide, right??

I fooled a lot of people for a very long time.

It's a sign of strength I think, survival tactic. But when that cement wall cracks it starts crumbling down fast.

Take care of yourself:)

I find what works best for me is if I tell someone that I am going to do it (whatever it is I need to do). It may not be the best strategy, but vocalizing my intentions to someone close makes me feel accountable to them and almost guilty if I don’t follow through.

I’m sure it’s not the healthiest way to get motivated, but when I’m feeling especially stuck it helps get me started and I can feel proud rather than worthless next time I see them.

not working for me as motivation and subsequent deteres more and makes me feel worse than being silent but for quitting smoking helps.
