DAY THREE OF WITHDRAWAL

This is the third day of my withdrawal from Ropinirole . I have a lovely feeling of well being. My get through drug is Suboxone which I have taken for a week without side effects. I'm sitting here waiting for the storm to hit.

That's good to know silly. About the trots, I'm not use to feeling good, I'm surprised I recognized the feeling.

As if.

Try not to anticipate problems with your medications. I have come to the conclusion if you do not know about something you have nothing to anticipate from taking it.

I am still going through all my medication withdrawals and in some ways I am feeling not to bad. It is on the understanding that if needed three times a week normally I can increase my dose to the older reduced level, like this afternoon. I have been pruning apple trees and had to stop, I was becoming dizzy, so I have done three trees, I just need to get the ladders out and cut back the leader on a pear and three apples. To cold for anything else as I am going to hurt myself.

Good advice , BOB, as always. You be careful my friend as you go up and down ladders. Makes me nervous when my husband does that. Pam

Pam

Ladders and me do not mix at the moment, especially when it is cold and I loose that blood pressure in my neck, this effects My Balance, I am now getting worried about that

When we get old it is surprising how quickly health problems present themselves. I am having problems with bleeds, generally around my Psoriasis and any spots I may get, they are bleeding and do not heal. However I have two appointments in Surgery tomorrow and also my first three month dental checkup. They are concerned I may need Dental Treatment. So tomorrow I am starting with a new Dentist, my old one has retired

Thanks for listening Keep a Hold

Don't you have to taper off the ropinirole gradually, Pam?

sweetiepye profile image
sweetiepye in reply toJeff1943

Yes , I'm reducing ropinirole by 1 mg for 4 days and then by another mg. every 4 days. I should be finished by the end of the month if all goes well. If I have a problem, I can slow it down or take a larger dose of suboxone. I've been on ropinirole for over 10 years so I 'm expecting it to get harder the closer I get to the end. If anyone has experienced this I would like to hear about it.

All I know Pam is that it can take 3 months to taper off diazepam. Most doctors don't have the faintest idea how long withdrawal should take so if you decide you want to take longer once you really get going treat yourself. Good luck, maybe it will be a lot easier than you think.

After the storm ...if it hits....look out for the beautiful rainbow...

Nothing but the best for you!

Sparkles & dump trucks of groovy love, peace, light, joy & hugs Pam!

Be careful with Suboxine. That can get very addictive too. I was on it for a few years. Don't ever just stop it completely though. Make sure you taper off.
