My job hunting tasks have been by far the worst. I’ve been applying to jobs for over a month now. So many applications sent, and either no response or all I get back is a no. I feel so hopeless. I’m trying to use getting a job as a way of something to look forward to & a reason to get out of the house more, but here I am. Alone at home all the time, feeling like nothing is going the way I want it to. Recently I was trying to find a babysitting job and I got scammed, so I had to take it to the police and get them to help me since I’m a victim of fraud now. I mean COME ON! I can’t find a retail job bc they all want me to have 2+ years of experience at least! How the heck am I supposed to get experience if nobody will hire me?? I just want to hibernate forever istg. I can’t stand this!!! My life feels like it’s going nowhere. I’m so mad.

Because I have to get a job soon. I have a senior trip coming up & I need to save for that money myself since my mom can’t afford it.

Well, someone will come along with better help than I can give. Shouldn't take long on here.

Unemployment is at an all time low, keep looking.

Maybe try your State Unemployment Office, Staffing/Temp Service Agencies in your area. Can always look at Monster.com, Career Builders, Jobs.com, etc.. You never know where you’ll find level 1, minimal experience needed or will train positions. Don’t give up, this will definelty not get you a job.😁

Hello

While you are waiting to find employment, would you be able to enquire about working voluntarily at the types of organisations you’re interested in? If it’s retail in particular, charity shops are always grateful for volunteers. It’s also a way to get the experience they require.

Just a thought, anyway! 😁

We all need jobs to pay our bills and especially our doctors. Having a job is most important thing for all here. Do whatever to find a job.

Are you dressing professionally? Are you asking questions? Are you seeming confident? Research the company to find out information about it, they like that. Retail doesn’t really require experience cause they train you. I had No problem getting a retail job, as a matter of fact I got hired right away as a regular employee, most times they hire you as a temp. Can you seek out schooling to help you with interviewing skills? You might be doing something wrong and don’t realize it?

Hi Minileah.

It can be hard to find a job depending on what you are willing to do. I think applying on line is difficult because there are so many applicants. Have you gone to places in person?
