Can’t function right now - Really bad

This whole WWIII ordeal is freaking me out. My mental state is so bad this is literally the worst I’ve ever felt. I seriously don’t know what to do I try to forget, but I can’t and it’s killing me on the inside. I feel constantly nauseous, fatigued, on high alert and can’t sleep etc ... It’s so bad and the fact that people on social media are making fun of this whole thing is so upsetting.

Stay off social media. Don't watch the news. It just increases your fear.

I read the news. It's articles that you read and it's done. It's not in your face constantly. There's no element of drama like there is on TV.

I try but my anxiety makes me want to know more, so I can know what to expect. It’s an endless loop 😭

Stay away from the things that bring up negative feelings. Take a mental break. The more ypu feed i.to the negativity the more you'll feel worse

Perhaps it's due to my age and knowledge of actual vs. potential military might. There is no need to worry about a war with Iran. Iraq itself is a dirt country. They get second-hand crap from Russia and/or China. Iran gets better material cause it has more money. Still, it's from our opponents. And we're so far ahead of the military game it's almost laughable. Iran has cannon fodder for an army. They fought Iraq for eight years and called it a draw. We took Iraq in what, a matter of months at best. Not only that but we are in NATO. We are not alone. Their only terror are sleeper cells, rogue elements. They attack locally and cause fear but on a large scale? Nah. Plus the intelligence, the spies, within the anti-terrorism community is vast. Still haven't heard why we wasted the Iran general but I bet intel has been following him for months if not years. There may be a conflict between the U.S. and Iran and it's Iraqi followers but I have faith that they cannot hurt our citizens or our nation more than will can repel them. They'll have to use a new playbook because there are electronic ears listening and eyes watching everything. Remember, we are a Superpower. And so are our friends.
