❤️ What is your definition of LOVE? Please Share 💌

Love is a universal feeling. Regardless of race, gender, age, religion and the list goes on. However we all have different meanings. For a narcissistic mother or father, their love is selfish and to hold judgement, for a person who holds compassion it’s self less. (My personal opinion and could mean different for someone else ☺️)What is your definition?

Never really thought too much about that. I do know that it's about not changing your feelings for someone because they stumble or fall.

I think Love is not only consistent but long lived, permanent really. Being willing to sacrifice your own wants and needs for someone else too ( I think you have to be careful with this though).

Being emotionally available. I guess that's all I got right now.

There are different kinds of love like romantic, self love, unconditional love, etc. As a grandmother married to my soul mate for 41 yr, I would say my love for my hubby, kids, grandkids would be me being willing to take a bullet for any of them. I must say that self love is hugely important also. We cannot love others if we dont love ourselves. My love for myself is not in a narcissistic way but knowing I was created by a perfect God who only has my best interest in mind so I must try to value myself from that perspective. ( trying not to get kicked here for mentioning spiritual things but that is who I am so it is hard not to include my spiritual side)

Mine is to accept one for who they are imperfections and all...also with love must come forgiveness ..they go hand in hand for me...

I'm so happy to hear you agree with me...some say they forgive but do they really...I ponder that one at times...it's so freeing to forgive, don't you think?

Yes it is freeing. I however it’s hard to forgive some people in my life, hence my name UnderstandingMyPain it has a lot to do with past hurt but I do know (thanks to you with the reminder) the power of forgiveness. I know it will happen one day towards certain individuals who I have not forgave as yet. I know forgiveness is important

I have been able to forgive and am over the moon that when the day comes I won't have to answer for them...I even feel sorry for them...they have more mental issues than me to do the things that they are capable of doing....

My belief is that we (human race) have no idea what love is! I believe we get a glimpse of what love feels like but we are incapable of knowing what true LOVE is. I believe we will not fully feel this emotion until we stand with Jesus in heaven and he introduces us to God who is LOVE.

I believe the closest we can come to understanding LOVE is the feeling we have when we think of our children.

This life can be compared to the steam that rises from a hot cup of coffee, in the blink of an eye we will all be gone.

If you want to get closer to knowing what real LOVE is then pray and talk to Jesus. Focus on loving him for he is all we need forever and ever.

He is the only one who will truly LOVE you back.

Don’t waste too much time placing your faith that you will find LOVE here on this earth.

We are just visiting here.

In my worst episode of this disease I had a vision and Jesus spoke clear as can be to me and he said,

“I AM ALL YOU NEED”

The dread and pain I was feeling as I was crying harder than I had ever cried before immediately began to lift and I have not had an episode since that day. That is LOVE. 😍😍

Communication, friends, 2 souls connected, intimacy meaning holding hands, cuddling on the couch watching TV or listening to music , laughing, holding, hugging , bring there for all the good times and bad, saying I'm sorry saying I love you❤️
