Lexapro trouble focusing

Hi everyone,

I've been using Lexapro for 3 years. Initially I took a 10mg. Last year I reduced it to 5mg. The main reason I did it is because I've been having a hard time focusing and remembering things. Has anyone experienced this?

Lexapro was my first antidepressant. Great for a few years but then I started feeling lethargic. Wasn't depressed but I just had no feelings which also bothered me. Eventually told the doc and was switched to wellbutrin with small amount of Zoloft. Better energy and focus. Still have my bad days, but I would never want Lexapro again. Just my experience.

Hi James, I read your reply and it really speaks to me. I have been taking Lexapro and feel like a passive observer in my life. When taking Lexapro, did you experience no feelings most of the time? I feel like I have lost my creativity. How are you getting along with the Wellbutrin?
