Getting sick and SSRI’s

Hi,

Anyone get depressed after taking cold medicine for a cold. I was doing better after a partial program until I got a bad cold and was taking cold medicine (liquid form) everyday. Apparently it can make you worse, my depression is back now and I’m in a rut. Anyone experience this and got any advice for getting out of it?

I have not experienced this but it sounds awful.

Did you buy the Cold Medicine from over the counter or did you have it from your GP. ??. Sometimes these cold medications can cause more problems than what we already have.

At the moment I've got Pneumonia, but unfortunately I'm Allergic to Penicillin, so they can't give me their 1st choice Antibiotics. Im supposed to be taking 1 twice a day, but they're making me feel absolutely YUK , So im gonna take 1 a day instead, but I will finish the course.

I've been hospitalised twice before with Pneumonia. Don't want to have to go back in again. Horrible when you're in a rut. 😭😥

Read everything on your bottle of cold Medicine. Perhaps there's something on there about side effects.
